What is the “current macroeconomic situation” in the U.S. (e.g. is the U.S. economy currently concerned about unemployment, inflation, recession, etc.)? What fiscal policies and monetary policies would be appropriate at this time?

Key concepts to include in paper–data trends on unemployment, inflation, GDP growth, expansionary fiscal policy tools, FOMC, easy money policy tools and other terms from this class.

The paper isn’t asking what current fiscal and monetary steps are being
taken. It’s asking you, based on the data you supplied, what the appropriate fiscal and monetary policies should be, moving forward.

The Federal Reserve has several tools at its disposal. An ‘A’ paper will address future action using each of these tools. A ‘less than ‘A” paper will just say ‘expansionary’ or ‘contractionary’, without going into the details of how each tool of both fiscal and monetary policy would be used.

Three articles to reference in support of views, and facts for above criteria.
